About Dr. Vij
Dr. Vij has previously served as the director of the Summit County Children’s Dental Health program and is currently on staff at Akron Children’s Hospital where he serves as the dental director. He is certified in basic life support and has advanced training in pediatric advanced life support (PALS). In 2004, Dr. Vij had an article entitled, “Pulp Therapy in Primary Teeth” published in the Journal of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Vij is extremely passionate about pediatric dentistry and the impact it has on children’s lives. This passion carries over into his relationships with his patients and their families. Each year Dr. Vij volunteers during the Children’s Dental Health month as well as the ‘Give Kids a Smile Day’ where free dental care is offered to children who cannot afford it. Outside of his professional career, Dr. Vij enjoys playing tennis, watching the CAVS, doing yoga, listening to music and traveling with his wife and two children.
